Sturmwacht – The Letter

Sturmwacht - The Letter to the Security Officers

Only a few weeks remain until the gathering on Ghost Rock. Mitrasperans and Sarkanians alike are setting out on their journey. But away from the light, deeper in the shadows and nooks of Mythodea, entirely different forces are preparing themselves…

The Crimson Sails Company, which seems to have its eyes and ears everywhere, has something to report. Read the IT report they forwarded to the relevant settler authorities:

(The letter is addressed to the respective security officers of the Mitrasperan factions – to military leaders, guards, and those who officially observe and monitor the underground)

Friends

You know we appreciate things being in flux. And yet, we cannot avoid informing you of some worrying movements in Sarkan.

Many factions are eagerly awaiting the upcoming gathering at Sturmwacht Keep, which Queen Rubinia wisely called, hoping for answers to pressing questions and the easing of some worries and fears. Accordingly, several delegations and envoys have already set out, and we too are taking the opportunity to combine business with pleasure and travel once again to Ghost Rock, accompanied by our highly esteemed Sorella Victoria Taskwany Gullscream.

But it is not only those who are initially well-disposed towards you who seem to be making the journey.

Our scouts report rumors and whispers in the underground, in spy networks, and in the shadows. Individuals under our observation who have remained silent for several moons are suddenly stirring, including those difficult to assess, such as the envoys from Nocterra or the representatives of the Fen’Cenderi and the Tuvrani. But there’s more. Sarkanian crowns, riches, and favors are changing hands en masse; well-known—and quite notorious—individuals have been sighted in places where they shouldn’t be; and important influencers and dangerous agitators have vanished entirely from our view into the shadows.

All of this is no cause for undue concern – such an uproar is not uncommon, especially in times like these, when your departure from the Delevitum has the potential to reshuffle the political landscape of Sarkan. Moreover, the grip of the dark, cold moons is already loosening, and with the first warming rays of sunlight, the schemers, strategists, and players of the grand game are awakening. Nevertheless, we recommend that you do not travel to the Ghost Rock entirely careless and unsuspecting. Leave your heavy plate armor back home, for we do not anticipate war, but take your sword, your dagger, and your leather jerkin – and perhaps one or two rogue individuals who know how to move in the shadows, for who knows if something isn’t lurking in the twilight at this peaceful gathering?

May the winds guide you safely and swiftly.
The Crimson Sails Company always delivers.
